All Hail The Proletariat!

Will we be going back to passing notes in secret and meeting in the woods in the dead of night to discuss ideas or issues that are important to us? Will there be a need for an underground railroad for conservatives? Will we be writing our deepest secrets on paper and hiding it between the mattresses again?

In case you are wondering about the need for these questions, let me direct your attention to this article from Breitbart News. In it, Allum Bokhari describes how big tech companies are wanting to get together and “create a system of tracing content around the internet that could destroy online privacy and anonymity, radically transforming the nature of the web”. The article goes on to state that they do not only want to control the flow of information that gets to stay on the web, they want to create unique identifiers that would direct them to the exact computer that the information originated from.

This means no more anonymous memes or commentary under an assumed name. Even pictures or videos taken on cell phones will be given these identifying tags. This means you could not protect yourself from retaliation if you anonymously videoed, screenshot, or photographed something that you thought was newsworthy but wanted to protect yourself or your family because of the nature of the video, for example, you witnessed a drug deal or a group of people beating up another individual. Of course, in the future, this could be used by the powers that be to silence someone who just disagrees with governmental policies.

This is a very dangerous and slippery slope that big tech is starting to go down. Who should be able to decide what content is truthful and belongs on the internet and what doesn’t belong on the internet? What qualifies these people? Should we not vote on this? Why do they get to arbitrarily decide these things for the rest of humanity?

These companies are not holding back on their ideas of tracking things to the source. They want to be able to have these identifiers linked to your computer or other electronic devices’ CPU. This isn’t going to be tracking from point of origination on the internet. This is tracking from the CPU level. They will literally have your computer totally spying on you for their benefit. That is what this is going to boil down to, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the Proletariat, for it is here. We truly do live in an Orwellian Society.

This is something I have thought about- the need to go “no-tech” due to privacy and security issues. Fabulously written!

When fb was created, it basically replaced lifelong (with DARPA]. They already track everything we say and do. Our cameras on our phones are constantly recording; and can identify our surroundings. It always knows our location. Whatever we read; I’m certain is being tracked. Anything we watch, even on our tvs is being tracked. I’d be surprised if our TVs also don’t have hidden cameras. We’ve willingly given away everything about us, and we willingly pay for it. The government is corrupt as anything; the 3 letter agencies are snakes and people go about their lives oblivious to the government tracking everything we see, sat and do. We truly are an experiment for the government to play with through big tech companies that have already shown they target individuals who think for themselves. Sad day that we live in for sure.
