Fast Takes for January 14, 2021

There’s a lot going on in our nation these days, with information and misinformation coming at people from all sides. Sometimes we need to just get right to the heart of the issue, without all the extra stuff to go along with it. Here are some things you need to know this morning.

Parler was not hacked

This has been confirmed by Dan Bongino, on his show. Was this a rumor sown by big tech in an attempt to do further harm to the Parler platform? We don’t know. What we do know is that Bongino, an investor in the Parler platform, has unequivocally denied that any hack took place. He assures us that when Parler returns, it will be secure, just as it has been in the past.

Texas’ independent investigation

Ken Paxton, the Attorney General for the state of Texas, has launched an investigation into several big tech companies. He’s looking at the policies and practices regarding content moderation of companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter and Amazon. You can find the press release with more information here.

Yes, there are still active lawsuits regarding election fraud

In Michigan, there is still a lawsuit winding its way through the court system regarding the fraud alleged in the general election.

A resident of Antrim County, William Bailey became concerned with perceived voting irregularities in his state. He retained Matthew DePerno and filed a suit.

They’ve had a few victories you won’t hear about in the mainstream media. The most recent victory was the order for Antrim County to disclose any communications between the State of Michigan and Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Dominion Voting Systems related to the 2020 election. You can read more information here. The fight for justice does indeed go on.

Check back later tonight to see what else the day brings. We are a society that needs to know, now more than ever. Information is our best asset, and our best protection.
