Trust Me (Or Maybe Not?)

There are currently an almost unlimited number of online news sources. Their popularity seems to be growing along with the distrust of the coverage (or lack thereof) of the total landscape of important news by the so called “Main Stream Media”. This is especially true of the search for trustworthy conservative news sources.
The most important thing you should be concerned about in choosing news sources is the truth. Too many “professional journalists” are more concerned about sensationalism than about an article that embraces integrity. All of us, in scanning the Internet for news, have had our attention captured by an eye-catching headline, only to discover after reading further that the headline is nothing more than tempting bait on the end of a time-wasting hook. Doesn’t it make you want to crawl into your device and grab hold of the writer by the neck, shaking him until what little morals he has left drops back into place? Many of these pieces remind me of some of the supermarket rags that we encounter as we stand at the register, politely waiting for our turn to relinquish our hard-earned money.

So, here’s my recommendation: When you encounter an item, and you wonder if it could be true, take a couple of minutes to do your own research. It doesn’t take much time to use a secure search engine (not Google or Bing). Can you find reference from a couple of different sources involving the same subject? If so, there’s a good chance the story is true, but no guarantee. Mentally make note, if you verify a story, that the source seems reliable. The best indication of a good source is if they are consistently reliable. I know, your first question probably is, “Who do you use?” My answer would be, set your own standards.

We all have become too lazy to verify the truth these days. As I used to tell my middle school students, just because it’s on the Internet doesn’t mean it is true. One filter for potential sources I use includes a check of how many followers the source has. Also, how long has the source been online? Of course new sources could still be reliable, but time has its own way of ridding us of frauds.

I find it frustrating that even news platforms which initially declaimed them selves #Fair,Ballanced and un-afraid have caved into the lefts evil! It is hard to find a news outlet that will call out either side when they are wrong!

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Duck Duck Go as a search engine. It doesn’t keep track of your searches, and doesn’t hide results that don’t follow the MSM narrative.

DuckDuckGo is under a cloud of suspicion at this time.

I like your no-nonsense approach. We can no longer trust any news sources. The sham election of 2020 taught us this. I have yet to find one news source I believe anymore…

So, thanks a lot, Obama, our nation’s unrest is on you and your brainless minions. Patriots are banding together, holding our ground, we are fighting back, and e will eliminate all traitors. Yes, Obama, you are Traitor #1. I think public executions worked well back in the day. President Trump did bring back the firing squad as a death penalty option. 🤔

This is our nation. It’s God’s nation. And it was founded on Patriotism. Never forget: There are only 2 kinds of people in this world: Patriots and traitors. There is no in between. 🇺🇸
